Penney Reef
Penney Reef
36″x36″
Oil on canvas
This painting was commissioned by the Penney family and was a really fun project. I wanted to capture a stylized pose of the sea turtle while showing the depth and detail of the Caribbean reef. Prints are available!
Progress pic.
Progress pic of the seagrass flats painting I am currently working. Doing research for this one really gets me thinking of all the macro life that is dependent on this ecosystem. Seagrass is a crucial ecosystem to our oceans as they provide food and shelter for larval crustaceans, juvenile fishes, and sea turtles.

Juvenile parrotfish
This juvenile parrotfish darted past me during my last dive. I was fast enough to get a shot off and was lucky enough to freeze him in frame. It was a nice surprise.
Sponges of Jupiter, FL
Another shot taken while diving with Jupiter Dive Center. This sponge cluster was smaller than my open hand. Maybe not the best lighting, but I was happy with the shot, none the less.
New Nurse Shark Paining
One more brush stroke might ruin it so I feel as though this painting is complete! Now I need to name it. Any ideas?

Trumpetfish
This trumpetfish was hanging out and trying to blend into the reef as I passed by. Did you know they can change their colors to match their surroundings?
